Delicious food and fantastic cocktails

I remember the first time I entered Garden State and was straight away drawn to the interior at the centre of the venue, beautiful greenery caught my eye (and quite a lot of it for a city nightlife location) and that’s when I thought to myself this is my kind of place. Garden State captures the true essence of Melbourne City; it’s the place you want to go for after work drinks, it’s the place you want to take your friend’s for wine and dancing on the weekend and it’s even the place you want to end your Sunday with a beer while you watch the footy. Now let’s talk food, the food at Garden State is perfect for two types of crowds, either on the go/quick and easy while you are out and about or for when you have the time for a relaxing/no rush sit down meal. I can vouch for these two types of crowds as I have been both many times and on many types of different nights out. The menus they offer are very smart to capture all kinds of city wanderers…
there is the Garden Grill that highlights produce from Australia’s best local suppliers, there is the Public Bar which provides your favourite pub classics and a wide selection of moreish snacks and shared items, there is the Kiosk which brings you quick on-the-go street food bites, and lastly there is the Rose Garden which hosts its own specialised small bites meets a la carte menu, best accompanied by their signature Rose Garden cocktails. Being a lover of cocktails, I do recommend you try the Raspberry G&T at the Public Bar or the Skipping Girl Sour at the Rose Garden. Regardless of where you go within the venue, where you choose to eat or what you choose to drink, I know you will be very pleased with any choice you make, because Garden State Hotel really is the place to be no matter where the magic of the night takes you.
