If you haven’t tried it before, you are definitely missing out. Tender meat, smothered in delicious marinades and grilled over flames, it is no wonder that BBQ loving Aussies, are falling for this cuisine. With so many Korean BBQ restaurants opening, it can be difficult to choose the right one.

If you are in the mood for some breathtaking BBQ, look no further than Seven Star BBQ and Pocha. With two locations, one in the heart of the CBD and a new restaurant that has just opened in the newly refurbished ‘Loft’ in Forest Hill, Seven Star is ready to tempt your tastebuds with its authentic and modern taste of Korea.

The new Forest Hill restaurant is very trendy in its styling, has a great atmosphere and comes complete with an outdoor chicken and beer garden which is proving to be extremely popular in the warmer weather. You can expect when eating there to dine on 100% quality premium Australian meat. The wagyu steaks are incredibly tender, but you have not lived until you have tried the Galbi marinated beef ribs. What is Galbi? It doesn’t matter, it is delicious! Made in-house, the sweet soy marinade coats the meat for 48 hours before it is grilled and creates a texture of meat that just simply melts in your mouth. Have you ever tried KFC? Not until you have had Korean Fried Chicken. This dish which mixes very juicy, boneless chicken pieces with Korean spices and then perfectly fried, makes for a dish that will have you coming back for seconds and thirds.

Seven Star BBQ is more than just a meal out, it is a dining experience. After being served platters of raw meat and scrumptious side dishes, you then grill the meat yourself, to your own liking in the centre of the table, creating a very entertaining experience. Their BBQs are designed so that the customers can actually enjoy cooking and create new ways to enjoy their meals. The restaurant is also extremely kid friendly, complete with colouring books, ride on toy cars and also a small gift they will be sure to love.

For lunch, they do traditional Korean Bibimbab – which means to mix up – fresh vegetables and rice with the topping meat of your choice. This dish is enjoyed by many Koreans and has become extremely popular by those in Australia who have tried it.

If you are interested in experiencing this cuisine the Korean way, with impeccable customer service and amazing quality food, be sure to check out Seven Star BBQ and Pocha.
