Experience the magic of Sovereign Hill

winter wonder lights

If Christmas isn’t your thing (no judgement, grinches),
what about stunning light shows, European style market stalls,
and SNOW (not real snow, it’s not THAT cold)?

If you need something to beat the winter blues, Sovereign Hill has just the thing. Whether you bring your kiddie crew or keep it grown-ups only, Sovereign Hill has pulled out all the stops this year to give you an amazing, after hours wintery experience.

Not only can you experience the plethora of delights that Sovereign Hill always offers (no matter how old we get, gold panning wins every time), plus a host of activities and performances throughout the day, but once the sun goes down the old-timey town transforms into a winter wonderland, with a spectacular light show, winter market stalls, snow and even the big man himself – Santa – pops by!

Yes, it’s that good. Projections throughout the main streets light up the familiar buildings in a fun and interactive display, delighting children and adults alike, while snow falls gently overhead – easily making up for the frosty temperatures.

Not to mention the amazing daily fun activities to do which includes 18 scheduled activities, with something to interest everyone!

There’s coach rides, gold panning, a spectacular gold pour, underground mine adventures, theatre shows, and sweet making and musket firing demonstrations to name a few. The costumed staff and volunteers who are happy to pose for photos and welcome you into their shops, factories, and homes.

So rug up, gather the crew and head to Sovereign Hill, a family favorite for a reason! Running until 22nd July, there’s still plenty of time to catch the Winter Wonderlights at Sovereign Hill – you may have a harder time catching the cheeky gingerbread man though!
